Instructions
Kadayif
Start with the kadayif first. If the kadayif is stiff separate thoroughly with your fingers.
Melt the butter in a large pan. Add the chopped walnuts and stir for 2 minutes.
Add the kadayif and sauté until they take a brownish color. It will take some time, be patient, they will eventually get there. Always mix and make sure they do not get burnt.
When close to getting ready, add the sugar and mix well again.
Place half of the kadayıf on your service plate. Set aside the other half until the pudding is ready.
Pudding
Put all the pudding ingredients except the whipping cream powder in a pot. Mix well, then place on the stove.
Over medium heat and always stirring cook until the mixture starts to look and feel like a pudding.
Set aside to cool. Then add the whipping cream powder and mix until smooth and creamy.
Then pour evenly all the pudding on top of the half of the kadayıf.
Kadayıf
Add the remaining browned kadayıf on top to cover the pudding.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with pomegrante seeds if available.
Serve chilled in the fridge. Best when newly made as it will be crispy on top and soft in the middle.
