Peel the apples and take out the seeds using an apple corer or a peeler.
Fill the holes with raisins.
On the top of each hole stick a hibiscus.
Place each apple into a pot large enough to have all the apples in at a level and not one on top of the other.
Fill the pot with water to reach half way of the apples.
Toss in 4-5 cloves.
Start cooking over medium heat, lower the heat if it gets too bubbly.
Cook for 45 minutes. Turn around the apples to make sure all sides turn red.
Remove from heat - when whichever is first, you see the apples are getting to soft and crumbling or when the time is up.
Take out the apples and put into a serving plate. Discard the cloves and the hibiscus.
Pour the sauce over the apples or on the side to decorate. Also sprinkle cinnamon if you like on the plate for garnish. Serving with a tablespoon of ice cream will be a good option.
