Add the olive oil and butter to a non-sticky pot. Melt.
Add the couscous. Mix for a minute.
Add the chicken boullion. If chicken stock is available replace equal amount of water and leave out the chicken boullion. Alternatively just use plain water.
Mix and make sure the boullion -if you are using it - is well dissolved.
Add hot water. The ratio is 1 couscous to 1½ water. You can use a glass or a cup, the ratio should be the same.
Cook over high heat until the water comes to boil. Then reduce the heat. Mix once or twice to make sure the couscous does not stick on the bottom of the pot.
Cook until the couscous is ready to eat. Should take about 10 minuters. Test one, if still hard in the middle and the water is totally absorbed add a few tablespoons of hot water, and cook for a short while more.
